Graduation - June 6

The Kent School community is invited to attend the 39th graduation at Kent School. Graduation is an important and moving tradition at Kent School. It marks not only the graduation of our eighth graders, but also the ‘graduation’ of all of our children into the next grade. It is a celebration for the entire community, and, for that reason, we ask that all children attend. Please join your children for this important event.

The ceremony will begin at 11:00a.m. Graduates are asked to arrive at 10:00a.m. for pictures; all other students should arrive at their usual time. Boys are asked to wear coats and ties, and girls, dresses or skirts. A reception hosted by the seventh grade parents will follow the ceremony. Dismissal will be at 12:00p.m. If your child is not riding the bus on this day, please send in a note.

Kent School is a Green School!

The Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education has awarded Kent School the Green School designation. This award recognizes the efforts of our students and staff to meet extensive criteria in environmental education, professional development, and environmental best management practices on our campus. We will be the first school in Kent County and one of only four on the Eastern Shore that have earned this designation. An award ceremony is being held at the Community Colleges of Baltimore County, Catonsville campus on Thursday May 29th where we will receive a variety of prizes to recognize our accomplishments.

Update on parentReach

We have been working to input all parent contact information (special Thanks to Donna Simmons and Miranda Duston) for the parentReach program. The next step is to submit all this information to parentReach. Then, we will do a “trial run” to see how the process works. Please watch for an upcoming e-mail!
