Guys and Dolls Junior

Kent School’s Class of 2011 announces the Spring Musical will be Guys and Dolls Junior. Guys and Dolls, based on a story and characters by Damon Runyon, was written by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. The music and lyrics were written by Frank Loesser. The show opened on Broadway in 1950, was an instant hit, and is still one of the most-produced plays world-wide. It was also made into a movie, with Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. The play centers around slick gamblers, their nightclub girlfriends, and the urban missionaries who are trying to reform them. Of course, unlikely romance insues. The characters may have hard shells, but they are soft hearted.

Jim Landskroener is the director, and Kate Bennett the musical director.

The production will be on Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kent School gym. The public is invited to attend.
