The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is in need of volunteers to help with Watershed Tree Planting that will benefit our Chester River. This project will help reduce soil erosion, reduce downstream flooding, and sequester carbon to help with climate change.
When: Saturday, October 19 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Where: Harry C. Green Wildlife Preserve, Kent County, MD
Attire: Please show your Kent School pride and wear your Kent School Apparel, but dress for the weather—the event is rain or shine!
Mrs. Simmons has offered to drive up to 14 students in the Kent School van! We’ll leave Kent School on Saturday, October 19, at 8:30am and return at 1:30pm (or sooner if the tree and shrub planting finishes early)!
